Three species of monkeys are found in this Island.They are Purple Faced leaf Monkey, Grey Langur and Toque macaque.Purple face leaf Monkey and toque Monkey can be seen only in Sri Lanka.

It's very difficult to observe a monkey in isolation.Beacause they all living in groups. A group Monkeys normally consist with 08-10 individuals. Sometimes this group can be as large as 25 members. Every group lead by a senior male monkey.He is the one who lead in every action.
